This is an easy park and grab on Boulder's main street. The old building was the Boulder Bank Building built in 1888. Placed with the permission of the current owners.
This building was the first Boulder Bank. It was built in 1888. The bank went broke in 1933 during the Great Depression. At one time this building also housed a doctor and dentist office in the 2 front rooms of the second floor. "The Boulder Age" newspaper was housed in the back of the second floor. The bank building sat vacant for several years in the 1990's and fell into disrepair. In 2004 the building was threatened with demolition. With the forsight of a local group, a non-profit organization was created to save the building. In 2009 a dream was realized and the doors opened that summer. This cache was placed with the permission of the current owners.
