Geocache Description:

Ball Bay viewed from a different perspective. PLEASE re-cover properly after replacing the container.

This cache is our present to Endeavour3 and all those who follow - you wouldn't want all easy hides on the island, would you? This cache presents our challenge for both difficulty and terrain.

From the re-fuelling point (end of the pipeline above the square concrete structure), proceed perpendicular to the shoreline and past the two upright posts, then allow your compass to point the way. It should be wanting you to go 'up'. And you may see where you think it will be located, and you will probably be right. The question is - where to once you get there?...

(Note: All Slow Puncture caches are named after song titles - where possible, in some way relevant to the cache). This one is so named because the day we placed the hide you could have leaned at 45 degrees into the wind and not fallen over!

Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band - Against The Wind

"Against the Wind" is a song by Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band from the 1980 album of the same name. It is the highest ranking single from the album, peaking at #5. Glenn Frey of the Eagles sang background vocals on this song. Seger said that "Against the Wind" came about from his days as a high-school cross country runner. The line "Let the cowboys ride!" towards the song's end is a reference to the closing lyrics of the song "Santa Fe/Beautiful Obsession" by Van Morrison.

Seger later said that the line "Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then" bothered him for a while, but that everyone he knew loved it, so he left it in. He also said that it has since appeared in several other hits by other artists, so that proved it was an acceptable lyric.
