Zur Bilstein-Serie:
Der wunderschöne Ort Bilstein mit ca. 1100 Einwohnern liegt im Herzen des Südsauerlands und ist Teil der Stadt Lennestadt im Kreis Olpe in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Bekannt ist er vor allem durch seine im Jahr 1202 errichtete Burg der Edelherren von Bilstein. In der Burg befindet sich seit 1927 eine Jugendherberge. Malerisch fließt die Veischede am Fuße des Rosenbergs vorbei an historischen Villen und Fachwerkhäusern. Naturbad, Bogenschießanlage, Cross-Golfplatz, schöne Wanderwege, u.v.m. sorgen für Freizeitvergnügen und Erholung.
Mit dieser Cache-Serie möchte ich euch schöne und interessante Stellen in meinem Heimatdorf zeigen, die einem auf der Durchreise vielleicht entgehen würden.
Zum Cache:
Seit Mai 2017 gibt es am südöstlichen Ortsrand von Bilstein eine kleine TB-Tier-Pension. Hier fühlen sich Tier-TBs besonders wohl, aber natürlich können auch andere Travelbugs und Coins in dieser gemütlichen Behausung übernachten, um dann gut erholt weiter zu reisen.
An dieser Stelle einen ganz herzlichen Dank an Fribubil, der die Pension erbaut hat! Die besondere Cachetür ließ sich durch ein altes ägyptisches Schlosssystem öffnen, welches leider durch häufig gewaltsames Öffnen immer wieder aufwändig repariert werden musste. Nach fast 3 Jahren wurde dies nun durch ein einfaches Zahlenschloss ersetzt.
Hinweise:
- Zahlenschloss: erste und zweite Ziffer: graue Hausnummer rechts vom Cache. Dritte Ziffer: Zähle die blauen Glassteine im Zaun über dem Cache!
- Notiert euch die Bonuszahl im Cache! (Sobald die Serie vollständig veröffentlicht ist, folgt auch ein Bonus-Cache.)
- Bitte loggt keine genauen Beschreibungen zum Cache, um nachfolgenden Cachern die Freude zu lassen. Fotos vom Cache werden gelöscht!

Informations about the „Bilstein Route“:
The wonderful town Bilstein with about 1100 residents is located in the heart of the southern Sauerland and is part of the City of Lennestadt, a part of Olpe County in Northrhine-Westfalia. It is mostly known by its famous castle built by the upper nobility of Bilstein. Since 1927 there has been a youth hostel. The creek Veischede flows through submontane of Rose Mountain crossing picturesque Villas and frame houses. In the town and its surroundings you find a natural swimming pool, a place for archery and cross-golfing, scenic hiking trails and much for fun and recreation.
This cache route gives me the chance to invite you to the most beautiful and interesting spots in my hometown, you would surely miss by just travelling through.
Informations about the cache:
Since May 2017 there has been a small Travelbug-animal-farm in the south eastern part of Bilstein. Animal TB’s feel mostly comfortable, but also all other TB’s and Coins are invited to stop by and rest at this cozy place. So they will be able to go on travelling in a very relaxed way after this stop. I also wanna express so many thanks to Fribubil who is the constructor of this very nice farm.
Hints:
- Combination lock: first and second number: grey house number to the right. Third number: Please count the blue glassstones in the fence above!
- There is a bonus number in the cache. Just remember it! (When the route is complete I will publish a bonus cache.)
- Do not log any accurate descriptions of the cache that all cachers after you still can enjoy it. Pictures of the cache are being deleted!
