To get bent out of shape became a popular idiom in the 1900s and some people speculate that it may have originated from the dreaded, yet unavoidable SCUBA diving condition of the bends. Most of us associate the term with someone who is extremely upset and angry. There are some similar terms that were used in the early 90s which you may recognize too! See if these bring back any memories.
- knickers in a knot
- nose out of joint
- panties in a bunch
- ticked off
- has a short fuse
- at the end of one's rope
- fed up to one's eyebrows
What does all this have to do with the cache? I guess you'll have to come and make the find to figure that out. Enjoy the hunt.
