At 2000 feet above sea level County Line Road offers steady views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, over 100 miles distant across the San Joaquin Valley.
Cache is available at all times of the year, though easiest during weekends when Bell Station entrance is open.
County Line Road has long stretches without shade. Pack at least 3 litres of water. Wear sunscreen. Let others know where you are and when you will return.
