This is a very easy cache to find. And it is one of my favorite areas to visit. The altitude on the road to this cache will go from 8300' down to 6500' but it is easily passed by any car. Be careful in the rain and snow it can be very slippery.
Clay Hunter was a Government trapper in the late 1800's. On one of his treks he passed thru what is now known as the Blue Wilderness Area. It is on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. It is such a beautiful area that one must go see. It is rich with many variations of rock formations, with small canyons and high hill tops. And its wonderful pine, oak, juniper and cotton wood forests that are teaming with wildlife.
While he was there he inscribed a few words to future people passing by under a rock overhang. "Clay Hunter, a man and a mule"
