Spring Shelter
There is crispness in the air. Caches are hidden and Abe is roaming the grounds. Yep, it’s time for Geocaching with Abe.
Meet us at Spring Shelter at 1:00pm to collect instructions and for a group photo. The stops will take you to places where you will participate in an activity from Abe and his family’s everyday life. You will roam throughout the State Park and stop at the Colonel Jones’ home and Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial. Everyone will meet back at Spring Shelter at 4:00pm to complete the event.
The event combines geocaching with a look at how Abraham Lincoln’s family and neighbors lived. Don’t pass up this opportunity to explore Abe Lincoln’s past like few others ever have.
The weekend will be filled with events. Plan on coming for the day or staying for the entire weekend. Camping is available at Lincoln State Park and there are a number of hotels available.
The Friday night Meet and Greet will start the weekend. Gather around a warm fire with old and new friends. (GC7CBNZ)
