There have been several caches in the area over the years highlighting underground pedestrian tunnels. The improved Beltline and Verona Rd interchange construction included one such walkway, so I thought it needed a cache to continue the tradition and celebrate it's completion (finally!). I do not drive through here on a regular basis, but it was interesting watching the area change over time.
Many commuters felt the pain of road construction as this portion of the project took several years to complete, but I think it turned out quite nice. In fact, this section has won several awards. Mosaics art projects were also incorporated into the plans, and all are within easy walking distance. You can read more about the ongoing construction of other parts of Verona Rd at the Verona Rd Project website.
There are plenty of parking stalls nearby, so no need to park on any street. Please bring your own pen, and be stealthy. Retrieving the container may require more than just your hands. Enjoy!
