One summer evening just after sunset back when this road was just a prairie trail, we were passing this poplar bluff when we saw an owl carrying a gopher in its talons swoop up to its nest to feed its young. It was an awe-inspiring moment that had us all speechless. Ever since, our family has called this the Owl Bluff.
