This cache too is near an old homestead site. You can tell this one by the daffodils in the spring that are positively everywhere and by the giant tree that is near the road, you know those didn't grow in the woods, right? Most of this place used to be fields 80 years ago or so, so when you see these giant trees, chances are they were in someone's yard. I'm not sure though there is anything left of the house that was here, if so I haven't found it yet, though there is a well in the area, the trail won't take you near it. I actually found this secondary trail when out looking for an out of the way place to put this cache. No idea where this goes, but its public land, so please enjoy the hike and drive responsibly.
The cache is down the hillside off of the right side of the trail near where it tops a hill. BYOP
Important Note: The best way to access the cache is from 7 Mile Ridge Road, if you do not have an atv (with good tires), it is an easy, but potentially muddy, hike from the end of the trail.
