Keep Away..! Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Simply Paul: Well, what can I say? Firstly, sorry for not making it here. I've only missed one of my own meets before (November 2011's "SP@40 aka BBH Border-ing on the Ridiculous #47", when I was stranded in New York by industrial action at Heathrow and Delta being perhaps the worst airline ever) - plus All the way to Alderney in June 2010, which no one got to, so I'm not sure that counts. Anyway, I'm very sorry I failed to make an appearance here until the following day. A late boat from Rum into Mallaig caused enough panic that it all went to hell in a handcart.
Since everyone(!) who attended has logged - Thanks B! - it's time to archive this event. I did visit on the 17th but ate my chips elsewhere due to poor weather. Until next time...!

SP - Have you voted for the NGAs yet?

Geocache Description:

...From the Edge! I'll be in Portree this evening as there are fine chips to be found here, and it'd be nice to have some company at this special spot while I eat them. I'll bring some seats. Bring your own chips (or a sandwich) for an evening picnic in perfect weather conditions*

*Not a legally binding guarantee. Please dress for the conditions and wear appropriate footwear as access is via a short but sometimes slippery path.

When: Friday June 16th from 9pm to 9.30pm at the earliest. If I'm having fun and it's warm, perhaps 10pm.

Where: A 'hidden' viewpoint overlooking Portree Harbour, at the given co-ords. Note access is steep but short, and can be slippery if wet. You accept all risks, etc etc.

What: A select (although open to all) gathering of Geocachers to eat chips (optional), talk about caching, swap travel items and enjoy this view of a very pretty corner of the Highlands.

Who: Cachers from Germany and the Netherlands if the logs on my nearby cache is any guide, but very much open to all cachers. New to the game or cache meets? Bring chocolate biscuits for dessert and you'll be made especially welcome!

How: Park somewhere in town (check for restrictions, but it should be free by this time of the evening) and enjoy the stroll to GZ.

Why: My schedule brings me here, now, and since my co-pilot can't make this trip, I will be starved of human interaction. Cachers count :)
