Geocache Description:

This series is placed to replicate Mvyrmnd's (now archived) series that I so enjoyed doing. It is a lovely ride through Wangaratta, and deserves some caches to encourage its use.

One Mile Creek Bike Path
This is the main dedicated cycling route in Wangaratta, and basically follows One Mile Creek, a waterway that has its catchment area to the south-west of the city. From end-to-end, this bike path starts at Cribbes Road (on the south-west side) and finishes at the Yarrawonga Road (on the northern side of the city). In between these two end points there are many different ride combinations, with the end-to-end ride covering about 5.5km.

There are toilets along the trail in Mitchell Avenue Reserve, on Vincent Street near OMCT-Scouts, and in Batchelor's Green in Tone Road.

This telephone pole is constructed of sections of rail line. If you look closely you will see the cache name welded onto one of the rails.

Krupp is a large German steelworks company founded in 1587, and supplied rail for all the American Rail Network. A little web browsing brings up some very interesting facts about this very old and very huge European Company.

This pole is constructed of sections of 60lb rail that was used throughout the Victorian Railways network.
