Geocache Description:

The Broadwater is located south of the town and is a 3.5km stretch of water on the Landsborough River.

The Broadwater was first discovered by Landsborough Buchanan in 1860. The original site of Chinese gardens Cassimatis Orchards, it features Coolabahs and River Gums that are over 100 years old. Located south of town, the spot is ideal for fishing, skiing, bush walking, bird watching, and camping.

While visiting this delightful and friendly town we decided we would like to add to the trail to The Broadwater which was started by RoddyC.  RoddyC was enthusiastic about us placing more caches as was Robbokerry who lives in the town (both will provide maintenance on this cache when required).

This is a log only cache please bring along your own writing instrument.
