The Broadwater is located south of the town and is a 3.5km stretch of water on the Landsborough River.
The Broadwater was first discovered by Landsborough Buchanan in 1860. The original site of Chinese gardens Cassimatis Orchards, it features Coolabahs and River Gums that are over 100 years old. Located south of town, the spot is ideal for fishing, skiing, bush walking, bird watching, and camping.
