Geocache Description:

Saturday 29th of July @ 1.30pm - Beside boating lake, just down from train.

Just over three years ago a breakfast event took place to celebrate the release of Rebel Brek (GC5AFAM) the cereal with healthy flakes in the shape of your favourite Cork hurler. The product had been a resounding success. Sold very well in East Timor. The second most popular market was not Cork but Kilkenny. So two years ago to show it's gratitude to the people of Kilkenny, the makers of Rebel Brek had an event, Rebel Brek - New Queen Bee Honey Flavour (GC5XPGE). Then last year another event took place, Rebel Brek - New Crystal Blaa Viking Flavour (GC6K75F). This was to celebrate the expansion into international markets - i.e. Waterford.

From the success of that launch the makers have decided to introduce a gluten free, low sugar, low salt, low calorie, no preservatives, no added additives, all natural flake. All flakes will now include eight grains of sand. Two reasons for using sand, natural and you can get loads from the beach during the night. The makers hope that all who try the new pirate pieces of eight flavour will get the great natural crunchy raw taste, like a treasure chest full of gold in every flake and will wonder, Is there treasure buried beneath those sands? The only way to be sure is to board the Jolly Rodger and set sail to your nearest cereal emporium where you can plunder the shelves for this treasure and then hit the high seas with your booty.
Best of luck matey!!!!

The event will start at the above coordinates on Saturday 29th of July at 1.30pm until 2pm. This will give attendees an opportunity to meet 'n' greet. I will explain, during this time, what is in store for the rest of the afternoon. This is beside the boating lake just down from the train. At 2pm the additional part will begin which will involve all participants being issued with a treasure map which they will have to use to traverse the sands of Tramore collecting clues which will lead to an overall treasure. This part of the event will last two hours followed by a meet up at a central location to talk about the adventure. All scores will be calculated to decide on the winners and prizes awarded. There will be an opportunity to consume food and beverages here also.

* This will take place in Tramore with all areas linked to the event within walking distance of the starting point.

* All clues are in easy accessible areas (no climbing required).

* A GPS device is required as all clues are accompanied by coordinates.

* You will also need a device which can take and display photos.

* If you choose to wear any clothing that might fit in with the theme or Rebel Brek, it may or may not add to the possibility of scoring more points.

The after event location for refreshments and chat will be divulged at the starting point (beside the boating lake, just down from the train ). It will be in the locality.
