Electrified Ghost Town Traditional Cache

Electrified Ghost Town can be accessed year round by traveling up Fairview or Huntington Canyons on SR 31. The road is paved.

The Electrified Ghost Town is at an elevation of 8,675 feet. Take a minute to read the history of the area and what lies below the waters of Electric Lake. Before Electric Lake was built, the old road ran up the middle of it. I remember driving on it as a child and my dad fly fishing the stream. The lake is not very accessible for fishing unless you like to hike or have a boat, but the river below the dam is good for fly fishing. There are also several lakes and great camping areas farther up SR 31. During the few days we spent in the area we located several caches along Skyline drive and the road to Joe’s Valley.
