My second attempt to place a cache near this interesting piece of art. Safe parking off the Beeline is available at the Bushnell Tanks Trailhead.
Update 10/31/2017 Many years ago a cache was placed in a shoe on the original Beeline Shoe Tree, located north of this location at the Mt Ord turnoff. That tree was removed, reportedly by ADOT. While traveling the Beeline in the fall of 2016, I observed the development of a new "shoe tree" at this location. I placed a micro near this new tree. That micro soon was muggled, so I placed this new cache a little farther away from the tree in the spring of 2017. There was already evidence of someone taking a chainsaw to this new tree. During the summer of 2017, they returned and cut the tree down. The cache will remain. We shall see if a new shoe tree appears somewhere else along this amazingly beautiful stretch of Arizona highway.
