La chiesa di Sant’Andrea e San Rocco

A Porta Romana esisteva, lungo il corso, all’interno delle mura una chiesa di fine Quattrocento dedicata a San Rocco. Edificata per richiedere al Santo la protezione dalla peste, vista la sua presenza vicino all porta d’accesso alla città. La chiesa potrebbe essere sorta su una cappella dedicata a San Sebastiano e a San Rocco edificata per volere di Galeazzo Maria Sforza mezzo secolo prima. La chiesa presentava il fianco lungo il corso di porta Romana volgendo l’abside verso la porta e aveva tre navate in origine. Nel 1616 le fu assegnato il titolo di parrocchia e nel ‘700 perse una navata per lasciar posto al corso rettificato e allargato. La chiesa con le forme barocche semplici sopravvisse fino al 1786, data della sua soppressione. Quindi la successiva e definitiva demolizione, avvenuta vero il 1790. Dopo la soppressione le opere d’arte e arredi sacri della chiesa furono trasferiti nella nuova chiesa di San Rocco al fopponone, presso l’attuale viale Sabotino, che fu edificata nel 1791 nell’attuale via San Rocco. L’unica opera di valore superstite della chiesa di San Rocco è un polittico di pittura ad olio su tavola di Cesare da Sesto risalente al 1523, identificato semplicemente come Polittico di San Rocco, oggi in parte conservato ai musei del Castello Sforzesco. Vi è anche una  Madonna di San Rocco conservata all’interno di Sant’Andrea dovrebbe provenire dall’antica chiesa.

Anche la seconda San Rocco venne demolita, perché all’inizio del 1900 iniziarono i lavori per la nuova parrocchia, molto più grande per accogliere i nuovi fedeli della crescente città.

Dopo due anni l’edificio fu portato quasi a compimento, tanto che la consacrazione avvenne nel 1904, per quanto mancassero ancora la pavimentazione, la facciata, il campanile, gli arredi fissi: si poteva celebrare e pian piano quanto mancava poteva essere aggiunto man mano che si sarebbero resi disponibili i fondi. 

Il nuovo edificio sorge maestoso all’incrocio tra via Crema e via Giulio Romano, nel quartiere di Porta Romana.

La copertura esterna è prevalentemente in mattoni, a parte alcuni inserimenti marmorei nelle cornici della facciata tripartita, caratterizzata da archi a tutto sesto sormontati da svecchiature rettangolari e timpani a triangolo, e altri inserimenti nelle cornici di gronda delle facciate laterali e infine nell’agile campanile che svetta nella zona absidale della chiesa.

 

Perchè una cache qui?
..in occasione della festa di compleanno di Sara per i suoi fantastici 9 anni abbiamo fatto un piccolo EVENT.
Tra i giochi dell'animatore pazzo Robertogiovanni una "Lezione sul Geocaching" con ricerca di questa cache, indicazioni sul regolamento, visione di alcune tipologie di cache urbane e camuffi. 
Consigli su come si fanno e non si fanno le cache.
Nel parco giochi è presente  una meridiana molto didattica. Non sono presenti bagni ne acqua potabile.

Curiosità :
A Parigi una proposta di legge incentiva tutti i cittadini a trasformarsi in giardinieri e a piantare, manutenendolo poi, il proprio giardino urbano in strade, aiuole, cortili, ma anche tetti e facciate verticali. Qualsiasi superficie della città potrà essere vegetalizzata, seguendo le linee guida dell’Amministrazione, allo scopo di introdurre sul suolo urbano 100 ettari di spazio verde entro il 2020.
Anche i cittadini di Milano però non sono da meno, soprattutto quando si tratta di mettere mano e zappa per riqualificare e rendere più accoglienti piccole porzioni di città! Queste pratiche si stanno diffondendo sempre più, anzitutto con i Giardini Condivisi, ed ora con iniziative spontanee che vogliono rendere più "green" e più belli i quartieri.
Proprio lo scorso  Novembre 2016 i genitori della Scuola adiacente hanno organizzto un’iniziativa di “giardinaggio comunitario”, per la sistemazione dell’aiuola adiacente alla Scuola.
E' primavera.. è il momento di venire a vedere i risultati !!!!

Il cache : è un camuffo green costruito con i ragazzi e piazzato nel parco giochi. Per chi si troverà a fare l'FTF chiedo gentilmente di sostituire l'elastico con un pezzettino di filo di ferro... causa improvvisa mancanza di materiale.

The Church of Sant'Andrea and San Rocco

At Porta Romana there was a church at the end of the 15th century, dedicated to San Rocco, along the course. Built to require the saint to protect himself from plague, given his presence near the gate of the city. The church could have been built on a chapel dedicated to San Sebastiano and San Rocco built by Galeazzo Maria Sforza half a century before. The church had its side along the Roman doorway, turning the apse towards the door and had three aisles originally. In 1616 he was assigned the title of parish and in the seventies he lost a nave to leave the post to the rectified and enlarged course. The church with simple baroque forms survived until 1786, when it was suppressed.

The next and definitive demolition took place in 1790. After the suppression, the church's sacred artwork and furnishings were transferred to the new church of San Rocco at the fopponone at the current Sabotino avenue, which was built in 1791, Current via San Rocco. The only work of surviving value in the church of San Rocco is an oil painting polyptych on the table of Cesare da Sesto dating back to 1523, simply identified as Polittico di San Rocco, now partly preserved in the museums of the Castello Sforzesco. There is also a Madonna of San Rocco preserved inside Sant'Andrea should come from the ancient church.

The second San Rocco was also demolished because at the beginning of the 1900s the work for the new parish started, much larger to welcome the new faithful of the growing city.

After two years the building was almost completed, so that the consecration took place in 1904, as the pavement, the façade, the bell tower and the fixed furnishings were still missing: it could be celebrated and as near as was missing could be added manually That the funds would be made available.

The new building rises majestically at the intersection between Via Crema and Via Giulio Romano, in the district of Porta Romana.
The outer cover is predominantly brick, apart from marble inserts in tripartite facade frames, characterized by round arches surmounted by rectangular and triangular timpani, and other insertions in the gutter frames of the lateral facades and finally in the agile bell tower Which is located in the church's apsidal area.
 

Why a cache here?
On occasion of Sara's birthday party for her fantastic 9 years we made a small EVENT.
Among the games of the crazy animator Robertogiovanni a "Lesson on Geocaching" with the search for this cache, instructions on regulation, view of some types of urban caches and camouflages.
Tips on how to do and do not cache.
In the playground there is a very didactic meridian. There are no baths in drinking water.

Curiosity:
A law proposal in Paris encourages all citizens to become gardener and plant, while maintaining their own urban garden on roads, flowerbeds, courtyards, but also roofs and vertical facades. Any surface of the city can be planted, following the guidelines of the Administration, with the aim of introducing 100 hectares of green space into urban land by 2020.
Even the citizens of Milan are no exception, especially when it comes to putting hand and hoe to re-qualify and make smaller small portions of the city more welcoming! These practices are spreading more and more, first with the Shared Gardens, and now with spontaneous initiatives that want to make the neighborhoods "green" and more beautiful.
Just last November 2016, the parents of the adjacent School organized an initiative of "community gardening" for the accommodation of the adjacent school bed.
It's spring .. it's time to come to see the results !!!!
