Geocache Description:

June 2021: Can the next team heading up to look for the cache take a spare container and help us out by replacing it if it's missing. It should be easy enough to find if its where it should be. Its possible that kids/adults have decided to take the container. Sadly this seems to be the outcome for non premium caches but we prefer to keep ours available to everyone so have not restricted access. Thanks if you can help us out. LPN.

We placed this cache on Easter Sunday 15th Of April 2001. We have decided to call this Cache “GRASSY KNOLL”. As a reference to the location, which is Bluff Knoll. We hope that this will remain the highest geocache in Western Australia as it is about 100 meters from the summit (1090meters). Try to be careful of the surroundings, as the vegetation is fragile. The walk up from the car park is about 3.2km and climbs about 600meters in altitude. The track is well formed and well maintained. We would rate this as a 3 star cache for effort required. They say it has 20000 visitors each year and we can assure you that it does get crowded up there during Easter. The people in our party were: Lyn, Pat and Nathan, and Sue, Peter, Cameron and Taylor, and ages varied from 40 down to 8, so although the climb isn’t easy it is possible for anyone if you take your time and plenty of drinks and snacks and be prepared for sudden weather changes. Enjoy Australia and make use of the great outdoors.
