Geocache Description:

The Tortoise and the Hare  is an Aesop's fable.  Aesop's was an Ancient Greek storyteller credited with a number of fables now collectively known as Aesop's Fables.  Aesop  lived durning the sixth century BC.  He was born a slave, and in his lifetime two different masters owned him before being granted his freedom as a reward for his wit and intelligence.

This cache is a short hike along the rail trail.  Please be respectful of the private property signs along the trail.  It's an easy walk in until you zone in on the cache.  Then you will have to hike up a short bank to retrieve the cache.  I've left a copy of the fable especialy for the children that  visit. I was surprised on how many different versions of this fable there were.  The moral I always heard was "Slow and steady wins the race".  This version is slightly different.

There are 2 travel bugs.  Can you guess what they are?  FTF gets to start them on there race to see who can travel the most miles.

Congratulations to SleepyPeepers for FTF
