This is a nice spot to view Paint Mill Pond off the Monocacy Way trail in Bethlehem. You can park in the lot at the parking coordinates and walk down the hill, then take the trail at the bottom to the right to get to the cache. There is at least one other parking lot nearby that can be used for this trail, that's just the one I always use. It is owned by the same people who are in charge of the trail.
Take a few minutes and enjoy the wildlife while you're here. On our various trips, my partner in crime and I have seen a swan, ducks, geese, turtles, fish, and, most recently, a little gaggle of goslings! While some of the wildlife is quite accustomed to the presence of humans, it is still wildlife and can still be dangerous, so please keep your distance and don't do anything that could jeopardize your or their safety. If the wildlife is occupying this "landing" when you arrive, please think twice about going for this cache. It may be better to take a short walk to one of the other caches along this trail and come back for this one once they've left the immediate area.
The name of the cache comes from the first time the partner in crime and I were walking along this trail. I told him that on the map it looked like there was a pond nearby and I wondered what it was called - both of us being Doctor Who geeks, he of course said "Amy Pond!" and the name just stuck.
Please replace the cache EXACTLY as you found it or BETTER to keep the cache from being found by wayward muggles and to give all future cachers the same experience. Please make sure BEFORE you retrieve the cache that you will be able to replace it the same way you found it. It will probably be easier not to remove the entire cache from its spot. Cache has been placed with permission of Bethlehem City Bureau of Recreation.
