Travelling from Iloilo, north-eastbound along the coast, you pass Windy Willows, a nice place where you have a fantastic view over the bay of Ajuy. Coming from Iloilo you reach this point after a trip of about 2 hours, the perfect moment and spot for a break. Windy Willows is owned by Mat Barret.
Iloilo offers enchanted and preserved island beaches, a clean water and a guarantee of bright sun. Whether you seek shade, privacy or family-friendly spots, you will have plenty to choose from to go for a swim, build a sand castle or take an afternoon map. Northern Iloilo is also known as the RESORT DESTINATION of the province and many people visit the area every year to see its natural attractions. Belonging to the Fifth Congressional District comprising the towns of Barotac Viejo, San Rafael, Ajuy, Concepcion, Sara, Lemery, San Dionisio, Batad, Estancia, Balasan and Carles, it is the largest in terms of land area and second most populated in the province. The area prides itself with island beaches that suit all tastes; from sand to gravel to rock to pebble. Most are defined by its sheer limestone cliffs, white sand beaches, and clear blue water, which attract thousands of tourists yearly. The strip of beach is accessed only by motorized pumpboat. It is easy to see why this is Iloilo’s most heavily promoted tourist hotspot. There are 55 accommodation establishments in the district including the island resorts offering 289 air-conditioned rooms and 207 fan rooms. The district ranked the biggest contributor of tourist arrivals for the province. So, pack your bathing suits, your sunglasses, do not forget the sunscreen, and discover those heavenly beaches. To get to northern Iloilo, visitors can take a bus at the Ceres Terminal in Balantang, Jaro, Iloilo City. Vans are also available at the terminal in Barangay Tagbak, Jaro, Iloilo City. The cache can not be found at Windy Willows. At that place a small container is hidden with the information to reach the final coördinates. You can ask Mat to assist you.
