The event will begin at 11:00 AM at the posted coordinates with a log book sign in (blue canopy-noticeably marked) and coordinates given to 16 temporary caches.
Each cache container will contain playing cards sealed in individual security envelopes. Your job is to find each cache container and grab an envelope, but, DO NOT OPEN IT YET.
***You can play one hand per geocaching name.
***You must be at least 5 years old to participate.
Once you have found all the caches and retrieved one envelope (card) from each, return to the original registration table where your poker hand will be revealed. Prizes will be given from the highest hand to the lowest; one in each poker hand category below.
SCHEDULE
11-11:30 am: Check in (signing the log is optional) drop off TBs, and receive coordinates.
11:30 am - 1:30 pm: Locate all 16 caches and grab an envelope from each. All participants must return to the event coordinates by 1:30 pm to be eligible for prizes. Need not be present afterwards if you must go, but we'd love for you to stay. Your name will be noted and if you are a winner, we will see to it that you receive your prize.
1:30-2:00 pm: The dealers review all hands and determine the winners.
You will enjoy strolling the downtown area in search of the cache containers. There will be the usual travel bug exchange at the table and lots of great people with which to connect. So C'mon Out. Swap stories, get a hint or two on an elusive cache or two, teach a newbie or simply enjoy the day. There are also numerous permanent caches in the area to get more Smilies!!!!!!!!!!
