CACHE: Park and grab. Get from the dirt road.
HISTORY: Day School was named for a family of the same name that lived in the area early on. They didn't donate the land for the school, so the purpose of naming it for them is unknown. They could have contributed lumber, books or any number of things to be given this honor. A school was established on the south side of the road just west of the barn near this cache. A new, more permanent structure was built on the north side of the road approximately a quarter mile west of this intersection. The school stood here until at least the 1960's. Students attended Dryden Community Schools when this one room school closed. I do not have the information as to what happened to the school once it was vacated, all I know is that it's been gone for at least 23 years. A painting of it is attached to this cache page.
