Geocache Description:

This cashe is off the beaten track and you will need a 4WD or at least a 2WD that has reasonable clearance. The road is reasonable but can degrade quickly after rains. This is a hard cache and if you take kids make sure you have one adult per child. Clue has been revised to make easier.

Noonans Discovery was found well before my Dad and Law trecked through here but I'm naming it after him in the memory of thank for getting me out of the Uni and doing some exploring before caching was invented. The views have always stuck in my head but that was three years ago and the foliage of much taller and well established now.

Now my son, Chandler and I have returned to again enjoy the serenity that I remember so well. The road is a little "How's ya going" in parts but I have successfully taken my Telstar TX5 along it with no worries but it was slow going.

I would take a picnic lunch for sure. Facilities are in disrepair so bring a picnic blanket and / or a portable BBQ.

I suggest also when looking for the cache to go the long way around and take the walking track out around the western escarpment (Which soon doesn't become a track) and then when you near the cache pop up onto the ridge. There are wonderful views and crevices and mini caves to explore on the way.

* I strongly suggest sturdy footwear, water and one adult per child of any age. There are sudden drops, no fences and many dangerous escarpments for the unwary.*

For lunch there is a wonderful picnic area back along the track and then to the west at 32 54.54s X 151 30.47e. This track you may well need a 4WD but have a look anyhow. This takes in the views of two major land features and provides excellent afternoon (or morning if your keen) photographic opportunities with the play of light on rock formations.

Hope you enjoy the day.

Cheers,
Bronze and Chandler.
