This cache was placed as part of my ParticipACTION 150 event to get Canadians out, moving and exploring this beautiful country! This cache is accessible by walking or biking only. No motorized vehicles (except for wheelchairs) are allowed on this trail.
This cache marks one of two parking choices for this trail of caches. This parking choice does not offer as many spaces as the other end, but it's often not as busy either. The Rail Trail is a lovely, level walk along Wood Lake that will take you past some wonderful views and a surprise or two. My series of caches spans along a 4 km portion of this trail. There is a parking area at the other end of my trail of caches (near GC74P1Y) where you could park a second vehicle if you want to shorten the walk (4 km one way versus 8 km return). Bring water, sunscreen and maybe a snack for your journey. There is not much shade along the trail and no public washrooms. The trail is dog friendly so bring your geo pup along for the walk!
