The route is usually added to a ride from Durban to Balito, after some refreshments in Balito this route is tackled, consisting of 21 consecutive climbs and some fast rolling descents to Tongaat, and then onto the M41 to Gateway and back to Durban. Total distance is approx. 160km depending on where you started.
The consecutive climbs build strength and stamina, cadence comes into play here to stay below your lactate threshold!
