This is the first cache placed by the Upper Elementary and Middle School children at Montessori School of Waukesha. In summer, many of the children participate in longer hikes on the IAT, some earning patches and certificates from local chapters of the Ice Age Trail Alliance. Some students have already hiked over 150 miles of the IAT.
This cache is just off the Ice Age Trail and is intended to be fairly easy to help get more kids out hiking. Parking is available in one of two lots off Hwy ZZ. The route from the Scuppernong Trail Head is mostly level. The route from the gravel lot across the street is closer, but requires a hill climb. We'd appreciate it if you could post photos at the cache. Have fun!
