Geocaching is celebrating its 10th anniversary in Fundy National Park. We are combining this milestone with the Canada confederation celebrations by featuring a special Canada 150 trackable coin.
As you search for the caches you will explore many of the areas that make Fundy so special today.
To discover what the area that is now Fundy was like 150 years ago, check for the cache card in each box.
This cache is hidden along Kinnie Brook Trail which begins at the Kinnie Brook Picnic area. The trail can also be accessed through a separate trailhead at the back of Chignecto Campground.
Just as Fundy’s famous tides go in and out with the moon’s cycles, so Kinnie Brook comes and goes with the sun’s seasons. To catch this trick you will need to hike right to the trail’s end where you may walk on the dry river bed or dip your toe into the brook itself depending on the season and recent weather. Enjoy the beauty and diversity of plant life along the way and consider returning to join Fundy Interpreters for the Kinnie Brook Edible Forest Walk offered weekly all summer.

La géocachette fête son 10e anniversaire au parc national Fundy. Nous combinons ce jalon aux célébrations du 150e anniversaire de la Confédération en lançant une pièce localisable exclusive.
Dans vos recherches des caches, vous explorerez de nombreux secteurs qui font de Fundy un endroit si spécial de nos jours.
Pour savoir ce que le Fundy d’aujourd’hui était il y a 150 ans, voyez les cartes de cache dans chaque boîte.
Cette cache est dissimulée le long du sentier Kinnie Brook qui commence à l’aire de piquenique de Kinnie Brook.
On peut aussi y avoir accès par une autre tête de sentier qui se trouve derrière le terrain de camping Chignecto.
Tout comme les fameuses marées de Fundy suivent le cycle lunaire, le ruisseau Brook va et vient au rythme des saisons. Pour voir le phénomène, rendez-vous au bout du sentier où le lit du ruisseau est asséché, ou trempez vos orteils dans le ruisseau lui-même, selon la saison et les dernières conditions climatiques. Profitez de la beauté et de la diversité des plantes et pensez revenir pour suivre un interprète du parc qui vous fera découvrir l’incroyable forêt comestible chaque semaine pendant tout l’été.
