Whether you start at the top or the bottom, you will have to climb at least half of the 100 steps that make up this stairway. The good news is that at the bottom of the stairs you are close to the sparkling waters of Kempenfelt bay and at the top of the stairs you will have a wonderful view of the entire bay from Nelson Park.
Half way up, or half way down, you will find a large flat landing where you can stop to catch your breath. This is also the hiding spot of a well camoflaged small container. There is no need to leave the steps or jump over the hand rail to reach the cache. But be sure to bring your own writing instrument.
