You are looking for a medium sized locking dry box located a short hike away from one of the largest American Flags in our region. The cache is located on the property of a local business and placed with permission. Please be respectful of the business and do not block the entrance. You can park in the cul-de-sec.
Here are some fun facts about this American Flag:
This flag is 30 feet by 60 feet big. At least that's how it starts out. As it flies in the wind, the end tatters over a short period of time. The Flag then will get taken down to be repaired by a local business until it has had too much material removed from the end. At that point the Flag is taken to the local American Legion where they dispose of it the proper way by removing the stars from the stripes and incinerating it.
The flag pole is 100 feet tall. It takes at least 2 employees from the business to lower and raise the flag. The hand crank requires 128 revolutions to bring the flag to full mast.
There are several items available for the first several people to find to receive a gift. Original contents include the log book, a handful of ink pens, 2 Hotwheels cars, and 2 drink coozies. Special thanks to the Smith family for suggesting and allowing me to hide this cache on their property.
Happy Hunting!!
