Geocache Description:

Welcome to Lake Julian Park, operated by Buncombe County Parks, Greenways, and Recreation Services. Please see Lake Julian Park for more information.

To access the paddling caches on Lake Julian, you may rent a canoe, paddleboat, or johnboat at the Additional Waypoint listed below. Or you may bring your own paddled or electric power watercraft. If using your own boat, a daily launch fee is charged. The park opens at 8 am and closes at about dark.

For your safety, no swimming or wading is allowed.
Stay in your boat!

Due to the many recreational muggles on the lake, this container is a micro, but in a spot that's not very visible or accessible, except to those who really want to get to Ground Zero. PLEASE, PLEASE rehide the container as found.

The previous name of this cache, Arc de Triomphe (French for Arch of Triumph and famous in French architecture), was a punny hint that the triumphant cacher would find it attached to an arch-shaped log. The container has been muggled five times now, plus Helene has reworked the entire edge-of-water landscape, so I'm admitting defeat, changing the name to Arc de la Défaite (French for Arch of Defeat), and concocting a whole new non-arched placement, although at the same coords. So don't look for an arch anymore.
