Start you day right with Rich & Lola (Rich and Lola) and Kirbydox (Donna) of Houston, Texas, with breakfast at Gwennie's Old Alaska Restaurant on Wednesday, June 14, beginning at 0630 and lasting at least until 0730.
Please post your "Will Attend" log with the number of people in your party by Monday, June 12, so enough tables can be reserved upstairs.
Kirbydox and Rich & Lola will be visiting Anchorage, Seward, Whittier/Prince William Sound, Fairbanks, the Arctic Circle, and perhaps even Coldfoot. They are eager to meet Alaskans and obtain caching and sightseeing tips.
This trio of Houston-based cachers inspired me to pursue the "Texas County Challenge" and "I've Been Everywhere Challenge--Texas" during a time when my job routinely required travel to Oklahoma and Texas. We most recently completed Phase I and Phase II of the "Houma Travel Geotour" in southern Louisiana. They also shared in filling in my US map when I logged a cache in New Mexico. I can't thank them enough for all the great caching experiences we have shared, all the early morning airport pick-ups and late evening airport drop-offs, thousands of shared highway miles, and new opportunities such as kayaking amongst alligators and witnessing an alligator gar attack (I'll let Rich tell that story).
