I hope you enjoy the short trek off the trail to find this cache located in the beautiful Prospect Park in Moline. This cache requires a short hike down the trail on the west side of Prospect Park. Some bushwacking required. Please read the entire description. There is private property near the Geocache, but the description tells you how to access the Geocache.
Barely west of the small creek (you can just step across it), you will find a black ammo can nestled up against a large natural beacon, under a large fallen log. If you come down the trail, do not wait until you are directly across from the cache to turn off the trail. You will need to turn off the trail 30 yards south of the cache. When you see the sign for disc golf hole #7, cross the small bridge and head up the hill. At the top of the hill you will find a small trail of a Tangles toward the cache. Take this Trail straight to the creek. Hardly any true bushwhacking is required. There is a tiny piece of private property that juts into the park. The cache is on the park property. No need to go on private property.There is no need to go up the hill toward the houses on top. I decided to place a regular size cache because nearly all my hides are micros and people get tired of finding micros!! Make sure to wear long pants and bring some bug spray if the mosquitoes and gnats are out. Keep an eye out for poison ivy. I did see a little bit on my second trip to the cache.
