Blundell's Bird II Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Tankengine: Hmmm - checked on this today, and the entire tree was gone - Cache and all! - They did a good job too, there is no way you could see there was ever a tree there! Doesn't the council need to check with geocachers first, before willy nilly cutting down trees? Anyways, will archive this one, and may set up something new nearby one day.

Geocache Description:

Not too far from here you can find Blundell's Backyard cache, if you come from there to this cache, you will pass Blundell's cottage. GZ for this cache, is where his bird used to live (a previous cache by domsky, since archived).

Blundell's cottage was built during the 1860s. The cottage was built for Duntroon’s chief ploughman, William Gin and his family. After the departure of the Gin family, the small abode became home to George Blundell, and later his wife and their children. Until 1961, the house had a series of regular tenants. After the last tenant vacated the cottage, the home was handed to the NCDC for custodianship.

Please note, at this location you will be under the watchful eye of ASIO - so make sure you search for this in a non-suspicious looking manner . And secondly, as it is a small cache, please BYO pen.
