Along the Perimeter Trail near this cache, you can see evidence of beavers having cut down trees. Because they “cut” the trees with their strong front teeth, the tree stumps are pointed (like a giant pencil point) rather than cut straight across as a saw would do.
The cache is an ammo can which can be reached from the Perimeter Trail. Please use stealth at this busy park and hide the cache as you found it. This cache has been placed as part of the 2017 NYS Parks Saratoga/Capital District Regional Geocache Challenge.
