Madden Shipyard opened in 1916 and produced tugboats and barges to take advantage of demand created by the opening of the Erie Barge Canal. It operated until 1983.
The shipyard is a short walk down the bike trail from the main parking lot. On the way, you can get 2 more caches: the Along the Way cache GC75K7Z and Oliver Twist cache GC4C8ME.
