This cache is at an easy pull out on east side of 219 just south of Beaver Creek bridge .
Another quick stop and grab " teatrucker bison tube " hide magnetic on a wood post . In the mid 1950,s my friend Ron Watson and I rescued quite a few miles of signal wire abandoned by the army after a large exersise called Camp Peters . A camp was set up beside the old Brookland School site in the hills and manouvers went on all summer . When it ended miles of signal wire lay all through the sandhills . We would cut it into mile long pieces , tie them to our jalopies and tow them over to create a telephone link that joined Mr & Mrs Littlecrow at the Chiefs house at Whitecap village , north to the Watson farm then up fence lines to our house at Redwing Ranch . From there to the Lawley farm and the Ben Pullman farm 1/2 mile west of cache site and then past the cache site to terminate at the Art Herman farm at the top of the hill north of the creek. Art Herman had a phone connection to the world and would relay important messages to people on the outside.
