Geocache Description:

This cache is placed in honor of Frank Druid of the Druids geocaching team. Frank has a very special birthday this month! Frank loves puzzle caches, so here is a little puzzle in his honor. Don't churn the water, piranhas! Let's let the birthday boy get FTF honors on this one. In the event Frank thinks he can't get to an area soon enough, he might post a note saying others can go for the FTF.

Let's play a game of bingo! Let's add a base number twist! Here's the instructions:

  1. Starting at #1 in the bingo caller's clues below, solve the non-base-10 number to get the base-ten, find the base-ten number and mark it on the bingo card. For example if the clue was "A (base 16) - Frank has this many fingers" the number in decimal would be 10, you would look on the bingo card for "10" and use your dauber to mark that square. If you don't have a dauber you can place a marker like a penny over the square, or just mark it with a pencil.
  2. Each time you mark a square on the bingo card, check to see if you got "bingo!" A bingo is five marked squares in a row, either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
  3. If you got bingo, shout "Bingo!" really loud so the caller can hear you!
  4. Once you have bingo, stop reading clues.
  5. Add up all the decimal numbers that you marked on the bingo card that did NOT contribute to your bingo. Add leading zeroes if necessary to make a three digit number XXX. The cache latitude coordinates are N 33° 47.XXX.
  6. Add up the five decimal numbers on the spots that make up your bingo row. Add leading zeroes if necessary to make a three digit number YYY. The cache longitude coordinates are W 118° 05.YYY.
  7. Congratulations, you are a winner! :-)
