Geocache Description:

A family friendly multi cache with plenty of room for Swag, Trackables and Pathtags. This multi can be completed in 20-30 minutes and is entirely handicap accessible. The actual hide will be available ONLY during the following times, however the stages can be done anytime during park hours: APRIL-SEPTEMBER 8AM TO 8PM OCTOBER - MARCH 8AM TO 6PM The cache is located INSIDE the Ranger Station/Visitors Center.

Located just minutes from downtown Columbus, this urban oasis has everything for those that love the outdoors. Visit the Nature Center, take your boat out and go fishing, scale the climbing wall, tackle the obstacle course or take your dog to the dog park.  Plenty of hiking and biking trails as well surround you.  Have a picnic, watch a train....this park has it all.  There is information available on the other area Metro Parks that you can take with you. Park Rangers are also in the park to answer any questions you might have. The posted coordinates take you to the parking lot at the Nature Center.  Go to the next 4 waypoints scattered about the park to learn about the Scioto Audubon Metro Park. Answer the question next to each waypoint that is located on this cache page to obtain a number at each location that will be needed to open the combination lock at the final location. The answer for the Combination will be A-B-C-D. Checksum for the combo is 21. PLEASE!!!! IF YOU TAKE SOMETHING, LEAVE SOMETHING!!! This multi cache is meant to be EASY, FUN, and REWARDING. STAGE 2 - (B) HEATHER'S TREE N 39° 56.781 W 083° 00.617 Learn about Heather's Tree. Take the last digit in the year listed. Use that answer for "B". STAGE 3 - (C) PROMISES MADE, PROMISES KEPT N 39° 56.922 W 083° 00.560 Learn how the Metro Parks uses the funds from a passed tax levy.  How long is the living stream at Battelle Darby Creek Nature Center?  Subtract the second digit from the first digit and use that answer for "C". STAGE 4 - (D) SCIOTO OSPREY N 39° 56.775 W 083° 00.379 Learn about the nearby Osprey that nest in the park.  How long is an Osprey's wingspan?  Take that number and subtract 3.   Use that number for "D".   FINAL - N 39° 56.688 W 083° 00.223 Final location.
