Everyone has dates that have some significance to them, both good and bad. If you're a Canadian sports fan, October 24th. 1992 might be one of them as that was the day the Toronto Blue Jays became the first non-U.S. based team to win the World Series. The date is also my better half's birthday (not the year, but we won't discuss that here) so I do have to remember it for that but I also remember where I was in 1992! A little known fact was that Clarence Edwin "Cito" Gaston (born March 17, 1944) became the first African-American manager to win the World Series.
