Geocache Description:

You will need to collect 3 numbers from the Story Circles nearby to open the log.

Not signing the physical log will get your computer log deleted.

The large circles you walked by to get to this cache container are called Story Circles. They are part of the art installation here that makes up the Confluence Project. From Chief Timothy St Pk by Clarkston, ID to the mouth of the Columbia river at Cape Disappointment there are six of these installations. The art is designed by Maya Lin and there is only one left to build at Celilo Park in the Columbia Gorge. Each place is designed to take you on a different experience of the Pacific Northwest Indian culture as you walk through the installations. This Site is admired because it is the confluence of the Confluence Project. The area was well know as a major goal for the Corps of Discovery and Lewis and Clark to reach in order to see the Pacific. This area was visited by many tribes during fishing season. Lewis and Clark only saw the fishing towers and the flattest land of their journey. Trading goods at this location was a ritual for years for each tribe and for Lewis and Clark.

1). What is the Native word for "Fall", count how many letters are in it, this is one of your numbers.

2). A certain character says the following in a circle, "I am leaving you, I am going back toward the sunrise, but I leave Salmon for you. Every year they will come up." How many letters are in this characters name? This will be another number.

3). Lastly, How many letters are in the Native word for Steelhead? This is your last number.

That's it! Now use the three numbers in some series to unlock the combination lock.
