Everyone has a favorite teacher -- someone who pushed them to reach farther and work harder, who helped them become the person they are today. This cache is dedicated to those teachers, and to one in particular.
Ms. Giller, our beloved 3rd grade teacher, is moving on to new adventures at the end of the 2016-17 school year. Today, she took her class on one last field trip, and we trapsed all over Black Hills park studying biodiversity. Students explored the man-made lake by pontoon to analyze water samples, and studied benthic macro invertibrates in the stream, among other activities. We even made time to find a few geocaches, and we tromped into the woods together to place this one in her honor. (All the classmates signed the log when they practice-cached earlier in the week, but there is a nice clean FTF page and a travel bug waiting for you.)
For all the teachers who encourage us to think differently, to leave the path when it's time, to explore new subjects and places -- this one's for you!
Bon Voyage, Ms. Giller!
