Geocache Description:

This event is to celebrate the shortest day in the year (which just happens to also be my birthday ^^). **change of time - 1-3 pm**

This is a camping weekend from Friday night (23 Jun) 6pm to Sunday morning 10am (25 Jun). For those not wishing to camp for the weekend, the winter solstice event will occur Saturday afternoon from 1-3pm. There will be caches released for this event so FTFs are up for grabs :) Feel free to bring your van/trailer/tent to help us celebrate. There are a couple of spots pencilled in for us at Sharp Park Canungra so please log your 'will attend' so these can be finalised. Caretaker will collect fees each evening (NO EFTPOS - $8 per adult per night, $4 per child per night, under 5s FREE). There are shops a short drive away but feel free to bring your own food so you can spend the majority of your time doing what we all love - caching. There are BBQs on site but no actual bush/camp kitchen. There are septic toilets on site, NO showers (solar showers available upon request), NO caravan dump site, NO power available. It's bush camping. There is a creek which runs through the property and people are free to bring their kayaks/canoes/fishing poles/dogs on leashes. Be aware this area is part of the Scenic Rim and the event is occurring during winter = low temperatures are going to occur. Firewood is available for purchase from the Caretaker - approx $15 per bag (size unknown). Hope to see you all there.
