Three Witches Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Benjamin Screamer: I've tried twice to repair the damage but the situation is hopeless. I really like this concept of a container attached to a rope or chain looped horizontally through a culvert, but I just can't get it to work and maintain properly. Maybe another time and place.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to the 14th of the Exford Trios series, the Three Witches. The Three Witches are characters in William Shakespeare's play Macbeth (c. 1603–1607).

Correct coords as of 11th November 2021 are: S37° 43.818' E144° 33.069' Shakespeare's witches are prophets who, early in the play, hail Macbeth, a general to King Duncan of Scotland. They prophesy Macbeth's ascent to the thrown. After Macbeth murders Duncan and is crowned king, he hears the Three Witches ambiguously prophesy his eventual downfall.

Wikipedia tells us that the Three Witches represent evil, darkness, chaos, and conflict. Their presence communicates treason and impending doom.

Can you imagine how spooky it would be to meet those three witches rising from their hiding place to greet you here on a cold, dark night?

This is a small-sized cache, with space for a log, a pen and pencil, and space for treasures.

There are roadside ditches near GZ. I recommend parking away from the corner. The driveway is perfect. Please be mindful of traffic and be safe. As with all rural areas with long grass there is the possibility of snakes in the vicinity. Congratulations to 08151605 for being FTF!
