清水橋は、旧甲州街道にある橋です。
この清水橋から、笹子峠までは遊歩道が整備され、江戸時代に合った甲州街道をたどることができます。
昭和61年に難所であった笹子峠を行き来する旅人を偲んだ「甲州峠唄」という唄が発表されたことから、旧甲州街道の笹子峠を整備しようとする住人たちの働きによって、遊歩道として整備されました。
清水橋から少し下ると桃の木茶屋の跡があります。
