長者丸踏切は山手貨物線にある踏切です。
キャッシュは、長者丸踏切を起点とするマルチキャッシュです。
山手貨物線を走る、埼京線、湘南新宿ライン、成田エクスプレスなどの列車を間近で見れる珍しいポイントです。
踏切の前に立つと、目の前には山手貨物線、見上げると山手線の走る姿が見れます。
長者丸踏切の長者丸は、踏切の東側にある地名「長者丸」からつけられています。
品川区の資料等によると、長者丸の地名の由来は約400年前、この地に住んでいた「長者」と、その城郭（屋敷）を現す「丸」だそうです。
このあたりは江戸時代には白金村の一部であり、白金長者などともいわれています。
明治時代になると上大崎村長者丸となり、大正時代末期には、高級住宅地として宅地造成が行われています。
