The Ponderosa Series for Spring Stomp ’17. These caches are mainly on the Ponderosa trail in Kenna Cartwright Park. We parked at the Hillside Dr entrance and took theRed Tailed Hawk Trail eastward to Ponderosa trail, on to Powerline and finally Prickly Pear to bring you back to your car. This series makes a roughly 6K loop back to the beginning. None of these caches are in the east end of the park as it has pretty much hit the saturation point.
IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO THIS SERIES starting with this one be aware that there is a steep hill climbing eastward between caches Fallen Tree GC75YW0 and Hill Climber GC75YWG. I'd suggest that you start by going eastward and start with Hill Climber GC75YWG which takes you down the steep hill instead of grinding up it.
These are not tricky caches but the hike and the views make it worthwhile.
Off the trail maybe 30' through tall grass and sage. Easy access.
