Permission has been granted by my uncle to place a geocache along this seasonal access roadway which runs beside my uncle's cattle pasture.
There is no need to cross the old former rail line or any fences, because you will be on a neighbours' private property.
Please bring your own pen. If you bring your dog, please keep it on leash so the cattle don't get frightened.
The DIFFICULTY and TERRAIN is rated more for the winter months.
As mentioned, this roadway has seasonal access . . . meaning it does not get plowed in the winter months. You have permission to search for the geocache all year, but you may have to put on your CROSS COUNTRY SKIS, or SNOW SHOES, to get to it! You may be able to drive the road in the winter with a 4X4 if you dare. This roadway is only a 1 car width gravel road, but is fine for travel during the Summer and Fall.
The story behind this geocache placement is from my childhood.
All of the kids from my little village would get together to spend our free time during the winter racing down this hill on our toboggans and flying saucers! We would spend hours braving the cold, and taking turns flying over the jumps we built at the bottom of the hill. And yes . . . we tobogganed right on the road!
NOTE: DO NOT TOUCH THE FENCES, THEY ARE ELECTRIC! SHOCKING!! :)
