Shale Canyon Traditional Cache

West of the town of Quartzsite in a group of 4x4 trails.

A fabulous canyon on the back side of the famous Dome Rock volcano...this volcano apparently threw out layers and layers of shale behind it and there is nothing like this canyon with shale walls anywhere else nearby!  Definitely a 4x4 trail through the main canyon with many side trails to sites along the way.  This location is one of the side trails that rise above the canyon a bit for a great view. Always be aware of possible presence of snakes in warm weather!
