Geocache Description:

A cache hidden in a woodball lawn in OUG.

The recreational game of woodball was introduced into Malaysia in 1995 by Mr Thomas Kok. The game is played similar to golf with a swinging tee-shot and putting strokes. Being a visually exciting game which looks deceptively easy to play but hard to master, it soon caught the interest of many people. Within a very short time, the first woodball course in Malaysia was built on a public road reserve in Taman OUG, Kuala Lumpur. Soon, with the support of the City Council of Kuala Lumpur, the Association of Woodball Recreation, Kuala Lumpur was formed. Subsequently the game grew, attracting players from all parts of the country resulting in a need for a national association. Thus, the name was changed to Malaysia Woodball Association in 1999. In the year 2008, Malaysia Woodball Association was accepted as an associate member of Malaysia Olympic Council. Woodball was introduced as one of the 17 sports in the 1st Asian Beach Games Bali 2008 in Indonesia.

Now, my fellow geocachers, it’s time to find the cache!

The posted coordinates will bring you to the Welcome Arch of the Woodball Lawn. From there, follow the hints for Stage 1 to obtain the clue for Stage 2. At stage 2, find another clue that will lead you to the cache.

Stage 1:      Hut

Stage 2:     Plate

The cache is a transparent glass bottle containing a logbook and some SWAGs.

Notes:
a)    As it is a woody area, mosquitoes and red ants are, unfortunately, aplenty!
b)    There will be many muggles if a game is ongoing, otherwise just be careful of the occasional security guard from the residential area or maintenance workers.
c)    If you are driving, you may park along the residential road parallel to the main road.
If you are taking public transport, RapidKL bus 651 serves from Pasar Seni to Taman OUG via Old Klang Road and Awan Besar LRT Station. If coming from Pasar Seni, get off at BHP Petrol Station bus-stop at Jalan Hujan Emas 5 and walk to the woodball garden.

So, woodball, anyone?

HAPPY GEOCACHING!

Thank you, BernGPS, Barnyard Dawg, Timke48, for the Favourite Point!
